If you would like to register for Metro Connect, you may be eligible for reduced fare or need to request a visitor’s pass, please see the documents below!
Reduced fares are available to qualifying Individuals with a disability and/or seniors 62+ years of age. The Certification for Reduced Fare Application requires input from the individual’s physician or caseworker or a copy of any photo ID confirming the individual’s age.
Applications can be printed from the above link. Rider’s may also request one by calling (269) 337-8222 or visiting the Kalamazoo Transportation Center or Metro office in person.

Access Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Service
Individuals with a disability that prevents them from riding on Metro’s fixed-route bus service some or all of the time can apply for Metro Connect Access ADA Paratransit Service. Individual’s, along with a professional involved in their care, must complete and submit the Access ADA Application and Professional Verification Forms. This includes the following:
- Americans with Disabilities Act Certification page
- Applicant’s Questionnaire
- Physician or Agency Professional Authorization
- Professional Verification Form
Applications can be submitted by:
- Printing both forms, completing and mailing them to Metro (Attn: Metro Connect Coordinator, 530 N. Rose St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007)
- Visiting the Metro office in person
- Calling (269) 337-8222 and speaking to staff”

- Print out and complete the form with the appropriate signatures to apply for a reduced fare on either the Metro Connect service or Metro fixed-route buses. Return it by mail to Metro Connect Coordinator, Metro, 530 North Rose Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.

Professional Verification Form
- Professional Verification must be completed by a physician or case worker. When completed and signed, mail the form along with the ADA Certification to Metro Connect Coordinator, Metro, 530 North Rose Street, Kalamazoo MI 49007.

- Print out and complete this form and mail it to Metro Connect Coordinator, Metro, 530 North Rose Street, Kalamazoo MI 49007.
Our Travel Trainer can assist with completing certification and even help you apply for reduced fare. The Travel Trainer will discuss your transportation needs and develop a training session designed to increase rider knowledge and comfort with using Metro systems!
Our Travel Trainer is also available to teach groups and organizations how to use the Metro bus system or Metro Connect. The group training includes an overview presentation, a tour of the Kalamazoo Transportation Center and a group bus ride.

Visitors to Kalamazoo County who are ADA certified in their own community can call (269) 337-8222 to obtain a Visitor’s Pass. The pass will be good for 21 days of service beginning from the date of your first trip. If you require more than 21 days of service, you must apply for certification with Metro Connect.
If you are visiting and not ADA certified in your community but are qualified for service, you can also complete a Visitor’s Pass Request. You will be required to provide proof of your disability to receive 21 days of service. Please call (269) 337-8222 for further information!
